THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cabinet Wednesday approved government’s special package for the victims hit by Ockhi cyclone. The package has included the steps to be taken for the damages caused by the cyclone. The chief secretary will be in charge of the execution of the package.

Rehabilitation and education of the children of fishermen have been included in the package. The package prepared jointly by the revenue and fisheries department was approved in today’s cabinet meet. Along with that the two departments submitted separate reports also. The chief minister directed the district collectors to distribute the financial aid at the earliest. The government had earlier announced financial aid for the kin of those dead and injured in the cyclonic storm. Those undergoing treatment will be treated freely.
