KOCHI: Minister of State in Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan said a probe has started on the incident where five employees were killed in the blast at Cochin Shipyard Ltd. The minister said this soon after visiting the shipyard. He told reporters that more can be said only after the probe is completed.

The kin of the dead will be given jobs in the shipyard itself. He visited the shipyard Wednesday morning. The shipyard authorities had announced an internal probe on the incident. Factories and boilers department and director general of fishing are conducting a probe. Presently moving forward with this probe and an immediate probe by a central agency will not be there.
