KOZHIKODE: A middle-aged man collapsed in the hot son and died after not getting timely treatment.

The dead has been identified as Karunagapally Kulasekharapuram native Kochuveettil Chellappan.

He was seen lying by roadside around 10 am on Monday. People avoided him, thinking he was heavily drunk.

At last after 7 pm, a Panchayat member and others took him to hospital. But then he had died.

The doctors said he died due to sunburn. His body is kept at Kozhikode Medical College and it will be handed over to relatives after post-mortem.
