CHALAKKUDY: After wild fire incident at Korangini, the fire also broke out in the deep forests of Vettilappara in Athirapally region.
Fire force, police, forest conservationists and locals are trying hard to put out the fire. The fire have spread to about 100 acres. As the wind has become stronger, the fire is raging and nobody is able to go near it. The forest fire have charred big trees. The fire happened at Thrissur Pillapara and Athirapally Vadamuri.

The fire at Kodappankallu between Konnakkuzhi and Chaypankuzhi was completely put out. 30 hectare forest was completely destroyed.   

Valuable plants and wild animals are believed to have stranded in fire. There is no idea on how long will it take to douse the fire but efforts are on to create fire line to avoid further spread of fire. About hundred persons are involved in rescue operation.
