KOCHI: The Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court has said that all documents in connection with the actress attack case excluding the visuals of the attack can be handed over to the accused.

The court has clarified that all documents including the medical report of the actress can be handed over to the accused. The Sessions court also said that the decision on handing over the visuals will be taken by the High Court.

Meanwhile, the case was postponed for March 23 for a detailed hearing. All accused in the case, including the eighth accused actor Dileep, had appeared at the court on Wednesday.

The attacked actress has demanded for a special court for the trial. She has submitted a request at the court seeking a female judge for the trial and also provision for secret trial.

It was on February 17, 2017, that the gang headed by Pulsar Suni attacked the actress and recoded visuals of it in a moving car. The police nabbed Pulsar Suni and Vijesh on February 21 from the court room in Ernakulam district court based on the complaint filed by the actress. Dileep was arrested later, after the Special Investigation Team made a probe on the conspiracy behind the attack after they arrested the accused in the case and the charge sheet was submitted.

Dileep was made the eighth accused in the case. The police has found that the actor gave a quotation to Pulsar Suni to attack the actress and record vulgar visuals of her as he hoarded vengeance against the actress as she was the prime reason for Dileep divorcing his first wife Manju Warrier. The auxiliary charge sheet was submitted at the court following this.

The government has appointed a special prosecutor in the case. The SIT has not been successful in finding the mobile phone or the memory card used to record the visuals of the attack. Nevertheless, they have found the copy of the visuals.
