THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP leader V Muraleedharan has said if elected as a Rajya Sabha member, he will work for the general development of Kerala. He was speaking to media persons after the reception at the airport.

“Attempts will be made to expose the anti-people policy of the government. The Rajya Sabha membership will be utilised for the cause of the right to take up political activities in a democratic manner. I have no feeling that the recognition came late. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Party president Amit Shah are persons who do right things at the right time. Even now we have the feeling that BJDS will work for S Sreedharan Pillai in Chengannur. BDJS’ issues will be brought before the Central leadership and efforts will be made to resolve them. I have nothing to say about controversies regarding my nomination paper. It is Election Commission which has to decide on it,” he said.

BJP State president Kummanam Rajasekharan said Muraleedharan’s Rajya Sabha entry would give strength to the fight against CPM’s violence.
