BENGALURU: Congress candidate and Malayalee K J George secured victory in the Karnataka Assembly elections even as the state is being swept over by the BJP.

George defeated BJP candidate M N Reddy in Sarvagnanagar. While George secured a total of 38,217 votes, Reddy could garner only 12,155 votes to trail behind him.
