Solar accused Saritha S Nair has taken a dig at former chief minister Oommen Chandy, asking whether his the chief justice to comment on a high court ruling. She was responding to Chandy’s statement that Solar Commission report had become void after the high court expunged content of Saritha’s report from the Solar Commission report.
“I don’t’ understand what success Chandy has gained through this order. It would be good if reads the high court order once more,” she added.
Saritha said that she wrote the letter from jail when I was denied freedom to communicate. “I wanted to hand it over to another person. Its content is my privacy... now the situation has changed. Even without letter, I can react well. I was not at all interested in including my letter in the Solar Commission report. It was not I who gave the letter to the Commission and it was a media person who submitted the letter as evidence.  As Oommen Chandy says, the letter is not a big thing. He should remember that the Commission is in possession of 350 related documents and 868 evidence. The Commission gave final report to the government after receiving all this…”
Saritha clarified that the court had directed legal action over the Commission report. “The court had also found out that the argument that that the terms of reference of the Commission was breached was wrong. SBCID probe is going on based on the complaint given to the chief minister. The probe can be continued against the backdrop of court order,” said Saritha, adding that she is satisfied with government agency’s investigation.
