KOCHI: Fifty sovereigns and thiruvabharanam have been stolen from two temples at Paravoor in Ernakulam. The theft took place at the Kottuvalli Thrikkapuram Devi temple from where  thirty sovereigns and thiruvabharanam were stolen  and Sree Narayana temple where twenty sovereigns went missing.

Since the robbery took place in a similar pattern in both temples , it is believed to have been performed by one gang. The CCTVs have also gone missing from the temples. Police have started investigation.

Even though the gang got inside the sreekovil they didn’t get any gold from there and as a result they had to barge into the office room from where they stole 30 gold sovereigns and Rs 60000.
