THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As the rain fury continues in Kottayam and Alappuzha districts, the respective collectors have declared holiday for certain schools in the districts.

Kottayam collector has declared holiday for all schools where relief camps are functioning. Besides this, schools up to higher secondary level in Kottayam Corporation and Aymanam, Kumarakam, Manarkkad and Thiruvarppu panchayats will have holidays.

All educational institutions except professional colleges in Cherthala, Ambalappuzha, Karthikapally, and Kuttanad taluks of Alappuzha districts will also remain closed.

However, none of the exams to be conducted by government boards has been postponed.
