THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Administrative Reforms Commission Chairman V S Achuthandan has said that all should come out united, rising above political consideration and parliamentary interests, to see that the dream Kanjikode railway coach factory project becomes a reality.

V S Achuthanandan made this appeal on Tuesday in the message sent to a populist convention organised by the LDF against the Central government’s move to abandon the project.

‘About three decades ago the then prime minister Indira Gandhi had made the announcement on the coach factory during her speech at Kottamaidan. It was that speech which sowed the seed for the dream project. But the UDF and BJP government that came to power in the Centre used it as a political tool,” he said in his statement.
