THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: This year's Journalism awards instituted in memory of Kerala Kaumudi founder editor K Sukumaran have been announced.
 
Kerala Kaumudi Thiruvananthapuram unit chief reporter Kovalam Satheesh Kumar won the award for the best reporter. Kannur unit news editor K Chandrasekharan is the best editor and Kottayam unit senior photographer Sreekumar Alapra got the award for the best photographer.
 
The awardees were selected on the basis of their performance over the past one year. The price comprises a cash award of Rs 10,000, a memento and a citation. The award ceremony will take place at Pettah Kerala kaumudi office at Sukumaran commemorative function on April 18.
