Applications have been invited on www.cbsenet.nic.in upto May 15 for the University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) to be held on June 28 across the country for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Assistant Professor.

The CBSE is conducting the test and the printout of the online application form  should not be sent to CBSE. Detailed notification is available on www.cbsent.nic.in

Three papers
NET will be conducted on 84 subjects at 89 centres in the country. The test will have three papers, covering objective type questions in three sessions. Paper I shall be of general nature intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. Attempt 50 questions out of 60 carrying 2 marks each. Time allotted is 75 minutes.

Paper II shall consist of 50 objective-type questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Time allotted is 75 minutes.

Paper III shall consist of 75 objective type questions from the subject selected. Time allotted is two and a half hours.

The candidates have to select any four cities of their choice for the test. In Kerala, Kochi, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram will be the test centres.

Upper age limit for JRF is 28 years as on June 1, 2015, relaxable upto five years for reserved categories. There is no upper age limit for Eligibility Test for assistant professor.

Admission card will be uploaded on the website in the first week of June 2015.
