Currently the centuries old treasure chambers at the above temple are being opened and treasure evaluated by a Commission ordered by the honourable Supreme Court of India. Today local news papers say that these consist of antique jewellery, gold, Silver and Diamonds and other precious stones in unmounted state.

One diamond alone has reportedly have been valued at 50 crores. Total value as per press has crossed 20,000 crores. Still few chambers are to be opened. But surprisingly there is no report of photographic records being maintained, security arrangements in the interim period etc, It is cutomary and a necessity that when such immeasurable treasures of antique and historical value like crowns of erstwhile kings are discovered photographic and video recordings are maintained.

It is imperative to maintain proper three dimensional photographs in raw film and digital form . Other wise even the Judges will not have a clear idea of the nature of the treasure when they consider the case.  It will be a nice Gesture to the people of erstwhile state of Travancore if the Judges themselves can visit the site and have a personal look at the heritage of this Nation being unveiled. As per locals the treasures and the giant golden statue of the temple was hidden and camouflaged to prevent loot by westerners and Muslim invaders like Hyder and Arcot Nawab.
