KOCHI: As part of green Kerala project, the district administration was planning to introduce the ''green protocol'' in marriage and other functions in the state. The project would be implemented through Suchithwa Mmission, and the district administration authorities had held discussions with religious-cultural leaders, auditorium owners and catering service centres, a release said. The meeting also suggested to avoid materials like plastics which is harmful to environment and instead of that use environmental free materials in festivals. The object of introducing green protocol was to reduce waste. The project would be introduce with the active participation of public, it added.
