KOCHI: A young woman was killed in what is said to be an accident caused by rash and negligent driving at the entrance to the Vyttila Mobility Hub on Saturday night. Anju, 26, hailing from Muttambalam in Kottayam, was hit by a speeding private bus around 7.55 pm as she was walking out of the mobility hub. The bus, plying between Koothattukulam and Ernakulam, was on the way in. The police said the bus had not reduced speed while taking the turn to enter the hub. It hit Anju, who fell at a distance. The police took the bus and its driver, Jain Joseph, from Thottoor in Ernakulam, into custody.
