MALAPPURAM: Kottumala T.M. Bapu Musliyar, who had been the chairman of the State Haj Committee and Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama secretary, passed away on Tuesday. He was 65 years. He died of cardiac arrest at a private hospital in Kozhikode. The last rites will be held at Kalambady Juma Masjidh on Wednesday morning at 10.  

Musliyar had been Samastha Kerala Islam Matha Vidhyabhyasa board general secretary, Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Mufathisheen president, SYS State vice-present, Jamia Nooriyya Committee member, Eranad Taluk president, Suprabhatham daily, Iqra Publication chairman, MEA engineering college committee convenor, Kalambadi Mahallu Committee, Madrasa president, Kottumala Aboobacker Musliyar complex general secretary.

Following the demise of his father Kottumala Aboobekker he had also been Kalambady Mahallu Khasi and Malappuram Mundakkodu Mahallu Khasi.
