THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police Wednesday took into custody notorious gangster Puthenpalam Rajesh. The police took him into custody last night from Pallithura and recovered two country bombs from the dicky of his car. His aide Santhosh, accused in many murder cases, fled from the place.

Rajesh was released on bail a month before in Dini Babu murder case. The Thumba police took him into custody following information that he was having liquor in a public place in Pallithura. On examining his car, the police found two bombs hidden in the dicky. Following that, a police team led by Kazhakoottam assistant commissioner Pramod Kumar took him into custody.
