THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said “arguments related to CPM leader V S Achuthanandan that existed in the party is a closed chapter now”. “Now onwards we will have a new chapter and it will strengthen the party. Party State Secretariat will discuss the cases against E P Jayarajan and P K Sreemathy over recruitment of their relatives to top government posts and a report will be submitted to Central Committee,” he said.

Kodiyeri said all party members would have to abide by the decision of the Central Committee to make V S Achuthanandan its special invitee, considering his experience in politics. “He can express his opinion in State committee like any other State leader including me,” he said.

The CPM leader also criticized a few recent controversial remarks of the BJP. He said Che Guevara’s pictures would not be removed but installed again, as a challenge to the RSS’ demand to remove them.
