KOCHI: Self-financing engineering colleges of the state will remain closed tomorrow, informed self-financing management association. This is in protest against the attack towards the office of the association following the suicide of Jishnu, a student of Pambady Nehru Engineering College in Thrissur. If this continues, the association will think about an indefinite closure of the colleges, the association warned.

120 colleges coming under the association will be closed. The office of the association in Kochi was attacked by the KSU activists today. The association said they cannot open the colleges without any safety.

Meantime, they welcomed the decision to appoint an ombudsman for self-financing engineering colleges.
