IDUKKI: Kerala Anti-social Activities (prevention) Act (KAAPA) has been imposed on a person who was accused in 10 cases and sent to the Central prison, Thrissur. The accused person is Upputhara Kannikallu Karakkelveettil Sobin, 25. He had several criminal and theft cases registered under Upputhara, Kattappana and Nedumkam police stations.
The District Collector ordered to impose KAAPA on Sobin after he escaped by attacking a police team from the Upputhara police station. He was arrested by a team of policemen led by Peerumade Circle Inspector Shibukumar and Upputhara Sub Inspector Baby Ulahannan.
