KOCHI: A plea was filed seeking vigilance probe against its director Jacob Thomas. The plea was filed by Michael Varghese, a native of Cherthala in Alappuzha. The plea has voiced three allegations including loss of crore in installing solar panels in office while he was serving as the director of the harbor department.

The second allegation was that after taking leave from service, he was teaching in a private college in Kollam. The third allegation was that he and his wife encroached 151 acres of forest land in Karnataka. The petitioner has demanded a detailed probe on it. The plea will be considered on January 19.
