KASARGOD: A 37-year-old merchant ended his life by hanging from a hoarding near a highway at Cheliyankode on Wednesday. The dead has been identified as Chandrasekharan, a resident of Aramanganam, near Uduma, who is running a bakery near the KSRTC depot here. The police, alerted by local people, shifted the body to the General Hospital here for autopsy. Chandrasekharan was to wed Nanditha, hailing from Gharodi in Mangaluru, on Monday last. However, the woman committed suicide by hanging for unknown reasons on February 8. The police said her death might have prompted Chandrasekharan to take the extreme step.
