KOZHIKODE: Administrative Reforms Commission chairperson V S Achuthanandan called on the parents of Jishnu Pranoy, a student of Pampady Nehru College who committed suicide. He reached Jishnu’s house at 12.30 pm and was there for almost 15 minutes.

The management of the college is responsible for his death, alleged VS. The representatives of the management should be arrested soon. If they are questioned, the accused can be taken into custody, he said.

Jishnu’s parents gave him a letter citing their doubts on his death. They said nobody should have the same fate as that of Jishnu. Mahija, Jishnu’s mother said VS’ intervention in this incident gives them great hope.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had so far not visited Jishnu’s house. Pinarayi had asserted that the government had done whatever they could do.
