THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Kaumudi online has won the special mention by the jury constituted by Kerala Education department to choose media organisations that did the best reporting at the State school youth festival 2017. Besides the above, it got awards for the best reporter, cartoonist and photographer.

Kerala Kaumudi Cartoonist and Assistant editor won the award for his cartoon with the caption 'Kozhakkarude Kannil pedathe Vidhi karthakkale vediyil ethikkunnu', published on January 17.

 
Thiruvananthapuram unit chief reporter Kovalam Satheesh Kumar won the award for his article titled 'Kanmaniye Vaheeda kandu kavitha samarpichu', published on January 19. Kochi unit senior photographer N R Sudharma Das won the award for his photo with the caption 'Kanneraninja Amma Manam',published on January 22.
 
The jury comprising K U Balakrishnan, T A Suresh Babu and K Ajith decided the winners. The awardees will be given mementos and Rs 20,000 for individual winners and Rs 25000 for organisations.
 
The award will be presented by minister C Raveendranath at Secretariat P R Chamber on March 22. 

Kerala Kaumudi had brought out a new webpage under the title Chilampoli (with logo) to provide its readers with the updates on School youth festival. The festival was held in Kannur from January 16 to 22. Each day, the site appeared with different theme colour chosen from rainbow colours.

There were be live updates from youth festival venues on competition results, latest point level besides comprehensive reports of the fest, photographs and special cartoon columns.

Kerala Kaumudi Selfie spot showed selfies taken by participants and viewers. Videos of popular competition items were also be available through Kerala Kaumudi Facebook page and Youtube channel.
