THRISSUR: Women should realise their strength and make the world recognise it, Supreme Court judge Kurian Joseph has said. Addressing the valedictory function of the golden jubilee celebrations of Vimala College here on Sunday, he said women had a greater role in keeping family relations intact.

“Do not think society or any system will strengthen you. You should recognise your inner strength and stand with your heads raised,” he said. One should be able to recognise right and wrong. Discipline and obedience were not virtues meant for only women. They were the essential qualities of the entire human kind, he said. MG University Pro Vice Chancellor Sheena Shukkur delivered the jubilee message. Vimala College manger Sr Anija presided. Ramanathapuram Bishop Mar Paul Alappatt, Principal Sr VL Maris, and others spoke.
