THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vigilance Director Jacob Thomas has thanked Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for his support amidst the furore raised by the Opposition over his Tamil Nadu property.

“The chief minister had told me that I won’t be removed as Vigilance director. The support given by him during the time of crisis has given me strength. Stones will be thrown only at people who have strength. They are stoned again and again since they don’t fall,” he said.

The other day the chief minister had said that no one need to eye Jacob Thomas’ seat and as an officer he had taken action against the corrupt without any concessions.

The allegation was that Jacob Thomas had bought 50 acre land at Rajapalayam in Tamil Nadu in the name of a private company. But, he had not disclosed this to the government.
