Kaatu is director Arun Kumar Aravind’s new film with Asif Ali and Murali Gopi in pivotal roles. The story has been scripted by late director Padmarajan’s son Ananda Padmanabhan.

“Certain characters from Padmarajan’s stories will appear in the film. The story is an inspiration from his repertoire,” Ananda Padmanabhan says.

There are reports that it will be a story of vengeance. Arun Kumar himself is producing the film under the banner – Karmayug films.

Arun Kumar is a director who scaled the heights of fame through his releases Cocktail, Ee Adutha kalathu and Left Right Left. The new film is happening after a gap.

His last film has been One By Two in which Fahadh Faasil and Murali Gopi did main roles. The film released in 2014.
