THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The timing of Jan Shadabdi Express (Number 12081/12082) from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur via Kottayam will change from April 29.

The new departure time from Thiruvananthapuram is 2.40 pm. The earlier time was 2:30 pm. The night train will leave by 23.50 hours instead of 23.55 hours. There will also be change in the train timing from Kannur. The new departure time will be 4.50 instead of 4.55 hr. It will reach Thiruvanthapuram at 1.50 instead of 1.55.

There is no change in the timing  of Jan Shadabditrain via Alappuzha.

The change in the timings comes after new stop was allotted at Thiruvalla. The new timings will be effective for six months after which a final decision will be taken on whether to continue it or not.
