THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Prithviraj has expressed his wish to women’s collective formed on Thursday in Malayalam cinema. Prithviraj said on his Facebook page that it was a great honour for him to stand with women’s group in Mollywood known as ‘Women Collective In Cinema’. He said he would be with the group on all times.

Manju Warrier, Beena Paul, Parvathy, Sajitha Madathil, Reema Kallingal, Deedi Damodaran, Vidhu Vincent are at the helm of the organisation.

The new organisation was formed to solve main issues faced by women cine artistes in Malayalam cinema and to protect their rights. This is for the first time that an organisation for women is coming into existence in the history of Indian cinema.
