PALAKKAD: Maoist leadership has claimed that it could increase its influence on Adivasis in the State. The claims by CPI Maoist People’s Liberation Guerrilla group was made loud and clear through its mouthpiece Communist after evaluating the activities of the organisations over the past three years.
 
The report also blamed the government for the wrong assessment of Maoist activities in the State over the past three years.  Planned and executed operation like Palakkad KFC, Silent Valley office attack, Mannarkadu-Ambalappara encounter all find mention in the report.
 
The activities in Mukkuvala , Attapady and Bhavanidalam under Western Ghats regional committee was above expectation. In Wayanad and Attapady regions, more adivasis have come forward to cooperate with the organisation.
 
The formation of new organisations in Siruvani and Manathavadi were seen as an achievement.  Activities were started in areas including Idukki. People from financially poor  classes have also started showing sympathy towards the organisation,” the mouthpiece pointed out.
