Actress Manju Warrier has said that she is passing through a period of mental turbulence.

She revealed this at the venue of North American Film Awards in America recently, where she was present to receive the best actress award.

"I had to make a great effort to reach here. The days that passed were the ones when I had to decide not to come here. I am going through so much of mental turbulence. I thank my dear friends Martin and Joju, who stood by me in those troubled times. I also specially thank director Kamal Sir and producer of Aamy for allowing me to leave its shooting location and come here. I am currently shooting for Aamy. Its director and producer are kind-hearted, a reason why I'm here. Even they changed the shooting schedule to help me," she explained.

Manju was awarded for acting in Vetta and Karinkunnam Sixes.
After her ex-husband and actor Dileep's arrest in the actress attack case, this was for the first time Manju addressed a public audience and talked in this manner.
