THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have said on Saturday that the WhatsApp message sent by Dileep to the DGP regarding the call made by Pulsar Suni from jail cannot be considered as a complaint.

The police would mention this in the affidavit they are going to submit at the court against the arguments made by Dileep in his bail-plea. They will also inform the court that Pulsar Suni had called Dileep on March 28, and Dileep filed the complaint on April 20, and the police had investigated into the delay in the actor filing the complaint.

Earlier DGP Lokanath Behera had told reporters that he did receive Dileep’s complaint but he cannot openly say whether the actor’s or the police’s version is true.

Director Nadirshah, on his way to Bengaluru, was called by a person who introduced himself as Vishnu and said he’s calling on behalf of Pulsar Suni. Vishnu had told him that some members from the film fraternity are pressurising Pulsar Suni to mention Dileep’s name in connection with the actress attack case. He had mentioned the names of two actors, one actress, and one director.

Nadirshah who recorded this conversation had sent the audio clip to Dileep. The actor, in his bail-plea, has argued that he had called up DGP Lokanath Behera the same day to inform him about this, and also had sent the audio-clip to him through WhatsApp.

Nevertheless, the police is sticking to their stance that Dileep filed the complaint on April 20. They would say in the affidavit that Dileep was already under the scanner during the investigation following the attack of the actress, and he was later arrested based on the evidences that they collected, which were against the actor.
