THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Social activist Payichara Navas has given a complaint to DGP Lokanath Behera seeking a probe into the unnatural circumstances that led to the death of NCP state president Uzhavoor Vijayan.

He has alleged that Vijayan’s death was a result of a conspiracy to remove him from the post of president of NCP. He has demanded a probe into the role of Kerala Agro Industries Corporation chairman Sulfikkar Mayoori in Vijayan’s deathy.

Navas has also submitted the audio clip of the telephonic conversation threatening Vijayan for his life.

He has said that Sulfikkar had called Vijayan while he was returning after attending a relative’s wedding with NCP members Satish and Nithin. Sulfikkar had used abusive language, and had made lewd remarks about Vijayan’s female family members, and also threatened him for his life. The people with him had also listened to all this.

Vijayan experienced high BP after the conversation and was rushed to a hospital.

The complaint also says that Sulfikkar had called up NCP youth wing president Mujeeb Rehman and talked in a similar manner before he rang up Vijayan.

Navas’ complaint states that Vijayan experienced both physical and mental exhaustion after the conversation with Sulfikkar, and the former eventually succumbed to the mental pressure.

The complaint demands that Sulfikkar should be slapped with criminal charges for making lewd remarks at women, conspiracy and death threat.
