THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written a letter to Prime Minister Modi to take necessary measures to check the spread of the fatal Blue Whale Challenge game.

He has said that the media reports suggest that the dangerous game has already claimed the lives of many youth across the country, and necessary action must be taken by bringing together the different concerned departments to check the spread of this game.

He has pointed out that the Kerala Cyber Police have already started online campaign through social media to make people aware of the dangers of this game and to prevent the spread of it.

He also suggested that the only way to prevent the spread of the game is by banning it, and the only authority to do so is the IT ministry under the Central government.

He has also said to consider his letter as a request to immediately take actions on this regard.
