KOLLAM: Reports say that the doctors belonging to the hospitals named in death of Tamil Nadu native Murugan after he was denied treatment have gone into hiding.

The doctors who were on duty in two hospitals in Kollam have gone into hiding as the investigation is in the last stage and arrests are imminent.

The hospital authorities gave different reasons for the doctors not appearing for questioning when the police arrived for a second round of questioning to bring more clarity into some of the factors in relation with the case. Though the police tried to reach some of the doctors over the phone, they were not successful.

The police have collected the CCTV footages, hospital records, and statements of employees who were on duty on that fatal day. Only the legal advice from the Director General of Prosecution is awaited now.

 One of the members of the investigating team has said that there is no particular reason to avoid the arrest.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that the doctors are trying to secure an anticipatory bail.
