KOCHI: Talking in an interview to a weekly, MP and AMMA president Innocent has clarified why he didn’t visit Dileep in jail.

“Dileep knows clearly why I didn’t visit him in jail,” he said.

He clarified: “I didn’t visit Dileep in jail because I’m an MP. If I was only the president of AMMA I could have frequented him in jail. As an MP representing the ruling government, I stayed away to avoid any news that I tried to influence the investigation. Whoever visited him in jail has the right to do so.”

“Wouldn’t a father visit his son in jail even if he’s an accused in a murder case?” he added.

Innocent also said that he had called up the attacked actress and assured her his support. He added that he had also talked to the actresses’ fiancé.
