KOCHI: Finance Minister Dr T M Thomas Isaac informed that the government is planning to make huge investment in the education sector in the state.Inaugurating the distribution of scholarship, instituted by Vidhyadhanam Trust of senior Congress leader Prof K V Thomas here, he said the government would take initiative in creating teachers post and developing infrastructure facilities.

Besides this, the government had also taken necessary steps to modernise the class rooms as well as digitalise and mobilise sufficient fund in this regard, he claimed. Reminding that knowledge based world was waiting for us, he said the role of education in the economic development would be more in the coming years. Kerala had gained tremendous achievement in human resources, he said adding that we had to go forward in achieving excellence and for that more investment was required in the education sector. The state was far ahead of national average in economic sector and the NRI deposit helped us to gain this position, he said, adding that this was achieved because of human resources investment that the state had made during the past decades.
