PONDICHERRY: A team of officials from Kerala led by Kerala Road Transport Corporation (KSR BTC) Assistant Secretary Santhosh conducted an inquiry here pertaining to the registration of a luxury car by actress Amala Paul, thereby evading tax for Kerala. It may be noted that subsequent to the registration of a luxury car by Amala Paul here, there was allegation of irregularities which was denied by the Puduchery revenue minister M O H F Shajahan as well as Amala Paul. Since, the road tax in Puducherry is very low, several celebrities register their vehicle here and use it in Kerala. Kerala official team reached Puducherry with the list of such persons and conducted an inquiry at the RTO here.  Santhosh told media persons that they had obtained the address produced by those who have their registered vehicles here and using it in Kerala from the RTO. It would be verified properly and will submit a report to the Kerala Transport Commissioner. Besides Santhosh, James, Vinod and George are the other officials of the team.
