THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Judicial Commission has taken a stand that there is no need for voice test in the sleazy phone call case against former minister A K Saseendran.

The Commission has rejected the demand that the lab test of Saseendran’s phone calls be made to find out whether it is Saseendran’s voice or not.

Meanwhile, it is known that PS Antony Commission will complete the investigation and submit the report soon
Months ago Thiruvananthapuram Chief Judicial Magistrate court had ordered the police to file a case against the former transport minister based on the complaint of a woman media person.

When the demand was made for lab tests, Saseendran’s stand was that there was no need for the tests. He submitted this in writing before the Commission.

The Commission rejected the demand for lab test, citing that the police were not able to recover the phone used to record the minister’s conversation.

Though unedited audio clip was handed over to the police from a Channel Office, the Commission said that it could not be considered as authentic evidence.

Meanwhile, the NCP leadership has clarified that if Saseendran gets acquitted in the phone call case, Thomas Chandy will resign as minister.
