Reports from the tinsel town say that Mohanlal is gearing up to play the role of an underworld don again after portraying Sathyam in ‘Janatha Garage’.

This movie would be a comeback rendezvous for the team of Mohanlal, director Shaji Kailas, and screenster turned actor Renji Panicker. Renji Panicker last wrote the dialogues for Mohanlal in ‘Praja’(2001), whereas the last  Mohanlal-Shaji Kailas movie was ‘Red Chillies’(2009).

Shaji will tell us an action packed story of the underworld centred around Mangalapuram in this big budget movie.

The shooting of the movie, which will mostly be shot in Karnataka, would begin by February 2018. Antony Perumbavoor will produce the movie under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.

The title or other details of the movie are not known as of now.

Mohanlal has always shined in the role of underworld don be it as Sagar alias Jacky in ‘Irupatham Noottandu’(1987), as Zakkir Ali Hussein in ‘Praja’(2001), as Jagannadhan in ‘Aaram Thampuran’(1997), as Vincent Gomez in ‘Rajavinte Makan’(1986), as Sathyam in ‘Janatha Garage’(2016), Sivan in ‘Jilla’(2014), and many more.

It would be safe to say that it’s in them for the Shaji-Mohanlal-Renji team to pull yet another blockbuster.
