         Two youths go missing in Neyyar river    
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two youths went missing in the Neyyar river after they had gone for a swim during a leisure trip on Sunday. While the body of one of them was recovered in the evening, the other remained untraceable.

         KSRTC bus damaged    
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Karamana police have registered a case in connection with the vandalism of a KSRTC bus by unidentified miscreants. According to the police, the incident took place at the Karamana bus stop by around 9 pm when the bus was headed for Kaliyikkavila.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 58-year-old fisherman was reported missing in the sea after his boat capsized near Thiruvallam. The police said Justin of Kochuveli, who went missing, was one of the three fishermen who had gone fishing off the Panathura coast.

KASARAGOD: A Border Security Force jawan was found dead hanging at his residence at Aninjha, near Uduma, on Thursday. The police suspect it to be a case of suicide. E Chandran, 34, is the son of M Narayanan, a resident of Mottammal, police sources said here.

         Two youths killed in accident    
MALAPPURAM: Two youths were killed when their motorcycle collided with a speeding bus near Calicut University on Thursday. The police said Fasil, 19, from Chenakkal, and Hyder Ameen, 18, from Padikkal, died on the spot when the bus mowed them down while trying to overtake a truck.

         Nepal native held on theft charge    
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A native of Nepal was arrested by the City police on charge of theft. The police identified the accused as Suresh Bisht, 25, of Kanchanpur in Nepal.

KOCHI: The police on Monday informed the Kerala High Court that there were evidence to implicate C P Udayabhanu, a Kochi-based criminal lawyer, in the murder case of a real estate broker. The prosecution added that he was the seventh accused in the case.

KOCHI: The Perumbavoor police arrested a man on the charge of illegal money lending. The arrested is Abdul Aseem of Vallam. He had allegedly snatched the passport of a shop owner at Perumbavoor market last month for the latter’s failure to pay interest.

KOCHI: At least seven persons were injured after a dog, reportedly rabid, attacked people on the streets near Kalamassery on Sunday. Eyewitness accounts suggested that the dog attacked some migrant labourers too near HMT Junction.
